Topic 1.0: Death and Decay...... What lies beyond......

For some of you who most likely have not heard, my uncle has just recently passed away on Wednesday and the funeral was held today. It came as a shock to all my family members as we had just talked to him a few days before the black day.

As a payed my final respects before he was cremated, I saw his lifeless vessel lie within a tight wooden box and I actually started thinking; what is it like to be in that stage. As emo and goth it may sound but many people have had that thought placed in their heads many times. So have I obviously.

For those that have religion placed strongly in their hearts they believe in a great new place in heaven where their God awaits them with open arms or reincarnation in certain religions. Thats if one has been a good boy or girl of course.

The age old question still stands and noone has a definate answer. What lies after our hearts and our brain stop functioning? Is it a deep dark emptiness will befall one where one will be floating in an eternal void of nothingness, feeling nothing, or do one see a bright light from the sky as your soul leaves your mortal vessel which would guide you to a greener pasture.

Nobody has the answer. Try asking a religious leader and mostlikely their answer would be quite close to this; you must have faith in our lord as he awaits in heaven for our arrival. If you ask a person with no faith or religion, mostlikely they will say either 'guess we will find out when it happens' or 'never thought of that' or somewhere along the line.

I am actually very curious and I would like everyone's input. What do you think will we see, feel, touch, smell, and taste? Religious point of views are most welcome as I am a 'self-scholar' of all religion (it means i have a tendency to want to know about what each religion is about and what is taught by them). Mind you, that undermining other people's religion or even point of views are strictly forbidden in my blog as I believe strongly in freedom of ideas.

My opinion, to kick things of, is that our life force will always remain. In other words, our 'souls' as many would call it will remain. My logic in this is that life is a form of energy. Scientifically energy cannot be diminished, only transformed into something else. In this case, our existence will remain wondering or move on to somewhere which I have no idea where.

Our bodies will decay and return to the earth. Once again this shows that nothing will become nothing. Just like energy. Our bodies turn to dust and return to the soil and thus becoming a component of dirt, mud, or clay. I wont be surprised if this was how the belief that men were molded from clay by the Gods in certain religions such as christianity (correct me if I am wrong).

What do you guys think?

p.s.: Sorry for the late update of my blog. I had nothing interesting to discuss or post until now.
